Pictures from my Dec. hike to Slide mountain summit, and my Oct. hike to Wittenberg mountain summit.The Catskill Mountains are in Southeastern New York State.
Both hikes were beautiful but Wittenberg was the best summit view and the more challenging hike. We did Slide the short way, 5.4 miles round trip. The upper trail was beautifully enclosed and sheltered by snowy pines and hemlocks.
The colorful leaves made the Wittenberg hike especially beautiful.
